Women In Government Internship Program


Funded by the State of Georgia and the collaborative efforts of the Georgia Coalition of Black Women, a new Internship Program focusing on women in government is currently available.

The internship will serve as a signifigant step towards ensuring the advancement of young women in public service. The Women in Government Internship Program also represents the culmination of Coalition Scholarship, internship, and mentoring initiatives.

GCBW is searching for women currently enrolled in a Georgia College or University who meet the following criteria:

  • An interest in a career in government and or public service
  • Having completed freshman (1st year) requirements
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Involved with community improvement or service organizations
