The Georgia Coalition of Black Women, Inc. will host The Ballot Power of Women's Lecture Series and Citizenship Educational Forum featuring candidates for statewide and congressional offices, Saturday, August 3, 2002, in Macon, Georgia. Location to be announced.
On February l9th in celebration of Black History, GCBW sponsored a Salute to its president, Judge Edith Ingram, the nation's first African American Probate Judge. Dr. Joseph E. Lowery was the Keynote speaker.
On March 10th GCBW unveiled a Bronze Bust of SoJourner Truth in the Georgia State Capitol in celebration of Women's History Month. The Bust is on loan from the National Women's History Museum in Washington, D. C.
In celebration of Women's History Month the Atlanta Daily World Newspaper featured a series of artices on Women and Women's organizations including the Georgia Coalition of Black Women.
