June 14, 2005 -- Celebrity images from Alisa Adona’s photographic portraiture series are auctioned to raise monies for Break the Cycle.
Definitive images of Tina Turner – Simply the Best, Snoop Dogg – A Haunting Perspective, Samuel L. Jackson – The Hardest Working Man In Show Biz, Christopher Meloni – The Dark Side (Law & Orders; Special Victims Unit), Boris Kodjoe German Born Model turned Actor, Simple Pleasures – The Signature Piece to Ms. Adona’s Exhibit “Cuba, Reflections of Life” are available on ebay through June 25.
The auction is to raise money for Break the Cycle (BreakTheCycle.org) an organization whose mission is to engage, educate and empower youth to build lives and communities free from dating and domestic violence. It is the only domestic violence organization targeting young people.
Adona is an LA based photographer, who has traveled and exhibited around the world. She was artistically raised by a painter who literally changed her vision, opening her eyes to the effects of light, texture and tone. The painter’s insight into the human spirit provided ADONA with the ability to capture something beyond obvious.
“I capture the essence of my subject, beyond the façade I find the obvious. I say, I capture Souls,” said Alisa Adona.
