Eight-time ASCAP Award winning songwriter Gordon Chambers continues to ride the swell of success from his debut album, Introducing Gordon Chambers. The multi-talented recording artist has given a string of mesmerizing performances this spring/summer and has a busy fall ahead. Chambers will perform at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club on Monday, August 1 (sets at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.), located at 131 West 3rd Street in the Greenwich Village section of New York City. Ticket price is $10.00 with a two-drink minimum.

Chambers has received unanimous praise and rave reviews for a series of recent performances including the super lounge stage at the Essence Music Festival (July 2); his highly-acclaimed one-man show at New York’s famed S.O.B.’s (June 29); the JVC Jazz Festival as a guest vocalist with the Don Byron Adventurers Orchestra (June 23); and the Studio Museum of Harlem (June 3).

Additionally, on June 5 in Brooklyn, New York, Chambers joined some of the industry’s brightest talents for an important new workshop, The Songwriting Series. The seminar offers songwriters at every stage of their careers a not-to-be-missed opportunity to learn the art and business of songwriting from multi-platinum-selling songwriters, producers and artists.

Chambers’ turn in the spotlight –– after more than ten years as the voice behind some of music’s biggest stars –– has taken him around the country and to audiences in the UK as well. At every stop he’s been overwhelmed by the response to Introducing Gordon Chambers, an unapologetically grown-up collection of jazz-tinged R&B. The umber-writer and his producers –- including Troy Taylor (B2K), Barry Eastman (Anita Baker) and Brian Bacchus (Norah Jones) –- have satisfied an audience thirsting for real music from an artist serious about his craft.

Released this past February on his own label, Chamber Music, Introducing Gordon Chambers benefits from Chambers’ experience working with some of the biggest names in music, including Whitney Houston, Angie Stone (“No More Rain In This Cloud”), Abeyance (“After All Is Said and Done”), Patti Labelle (“Got to Go Solo”), and Anita Baker (the Grammy-winning “I Apologize”). Recently, Chambers worked with R&B legend Ron Isley of Isley Brothers fame, and is excited about upcoming collaborations with Yolanda Adams, as well as Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter's House Mass Choir. His influence will be heard across the globe this year with the release of the latest album by the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Chambers wrote four songs for Franklin’s highly anticipated new project, A Woman In Love, including a duet for Franklin and country/pop sensation Faith Hill.
