When you’re young, you fall in love with your heart. However, when you get a certain age, it would behoove you to fall in love with your head!

As you get older, when it comes to love, you have to be smarter. You have to learn from your mistakes. You have to learn from the relationship mistakes of others.

If you’re a man, you have to know its hard out here for a pimp. No, I’m not talking about Iceberg Slim, Goldie or Don Juan. I’m talking about these females out here that think they can pimp a….. let’s say brother.

You have women in Black communities that think they can take everything they can from a brother. They take money, take cars, they take jewelry and they take clothes. I know Black women that will go and buy crab legs with a brother’s food stamps!

I can’t tell a sister what to do because I believe only God can judge you and its best for me to let Black women be what they want to be.

But it’s hard out here for a pimp. Pimping ain’t something you can just try. There are no pimp internships. If a woman wants to pimp a brother, if she doesn’t know how to pimp, she had better know what kind of brother she is dealing with.

When a fake female pimp tries to take something that they shouldn’t take in order to hurt a brother, the woman might just hurt herself. Don’t let your girlfriends get you drunk off of cheap wine and talk you into trying to dog a brother or to treat a man bad. And, don't start a love battle that you can't win!

When you can’t go to the hair or nail salon any more, when you can’t afford an exotic vacation and when you have to pay those enormous bills that the brother was always paying, the girlfriends will laugh at you. Your girlfriends will be like female crabs in a barrel. Most of them don't want you to be happier than they are.

The best thing for women, and men, to do is do right. Keep your promises, vows and commitments. If each person in a relationship can be honest and tell the truth, then each person in the relationship can deal with it.

You don’t have to be old to use your head when dealing with love. Black youth have to be smart also and see their love interests for what they really are.
