The Gantt Report

Will America’s major political parties and various statewide political candidates be playing Slavery Politics in 2006?

What is Slavery Politics? Slavery Politics occur when a vote is not a vote and the value of votes is measured by the color of the voter’s skin!

Back in slavery days, a Black man’s value was considered to be only 3/5th the value of a white man. Nowadays, the white-ran political parties and the white candidates for statewide offices conduct their political activities with the same premise.

I know you don’t like for me to write like this but I’m telling the truth. To a white political party leader or a white statewide candidate, the Black vote means little or nothing or, certainly is less important than votes cast by white voters.

I like money so let us look at this phenomenon by following the 2006 campaign money.

Has any 2006 campaign money been collected? Yes! Have Black voters and Black businesses contributed money to 2006 campaigns? Yes! Has any 2006 campaign money been spent yet? Yes! Has any 2006 campaign money been spent with Black businesses or with Black people? No!

Let me explain it another way. Every political party and every statewide candidate has paid political consultants, they both have pollsters, they both have media consultants, they both have printers, they both have campaign accountants, they both have caterers, they both have call centers, they both have clerical assistants and on and on.

Out of all of the many, many people already hired and on the payroll, you tell me, how many 2006 campaign consultants, vendors or campaign employees are African-American? They all have white men and white women on the payroll. Political parties and statewide candidates all have a token Hispanic on the payroll.

Could it be that major political parties and candidates that run for statewide office think that Black political vendors and Black political campaign workers are inferior to whites? Are Black votes less critical or less important than white votes? Or, is the value of anything Black in America less valuable than anything white. Is the white man’s political ice colder than the Black man’s ice?

Smart Blacks don’t want to be slaves and they don’t want to be treated like slaves!

Don’t take my word for any of this. Try doing this. Go to a major political party or a statewide candidate and tell them that you want to be a consultant and you want to be paid the same as the white consultants that are currently on the political payroll.

After the laughter stops, you will be looked at like you are stone crazy! Why? Because of Slavery Politics 2006!

Politics are my business and pretty much my life but as God is my witness I will never tell Black people to support or vote for a devil that disrespects the skills, talent and political contributions of the Black community and of Black voters.

If I never work on another political campaign in my life, I will not let political parties and political candidates get away with pimping my people, conning Black people for votes and lying about how much they love my Black community! (Contact Lucius at theganttreport@comcast.net)
