WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation Black Youth Vote 7th Annual Leadership Conference still has slots available for this year's conference; Launching the Countdown to Election '08: 360 Days to Mobilize the Masses.
The conference will take place on November 8-10, 2007, at the National Education Association Headquarters, 1201 16th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20036.
The primary purpose of this year's BYV conference is to train at least 50 young black activists who be eligible to lead our Black Youth Vote Voter Empowerment Campaign for the 2008 Election Cycle. Out of this pool of trainees, NCBCP will hire Black Youth Vote state coordinators in the first quarter of 2008 for at least 11 states including: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas,, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
