The Gantt Report - There’s a number that you can call if you are in the midst of a mortgage crisis. The number, I’m told, is 1-888-995-HOPE, a government sponsored telephone number.

The government, as usual, makes the people hurt by mortgage bandits look like the criminals and the wicked bankers and financiers look like the victims!

If the government wants to fix the America’s mortgage crisis, they should put every racist, imperialist, predatory beast banker out of business!

The government sat back for years and years and allowed banks to make housing and other loans based on race, based on geographical confines and based on the whim of beast bankers.

Even though the banks have different names, they all work together. In fact, in each community, the beast bankers get together and meet to discuss openly what should be private information.

They tell each other which banks have more or less deposits; they tell each other which banks have most commercial customers; they tell each other which individual customers to deal with and not to deal with.

For years and years, the government has been a co-conspirator in beast banking efforts to rip off Americans. Your government has allowed banks to discriminate when making loans to citizens with equal incomes, equal payment histories and equal credit histories.

Government has allowed beast bankers to sit around a table a draw a red line around certain communities. Yes, you’ve heard about “redlining”!

The communities that are red lined are the communities that banks would not lend money in.

The government sat back and allowed what is called predatory lending. A

Predatory loan is a loan that has very high interest rates regardless of your credit history, payment history or ability to pay off a loan.

Predatory loans are the only loans that most Black people can get.

Now, the government says it will allow those same predatory, adjustable rate loans to be frozen at the current rate for five years and then the beast bankers can raise the rates to unbelievable amounts!

You tell me, who is that helping?

When you complain to government regulators (that are controlled by bankers and the bank lobbyists), the regulators say, “You’re right, the bank did treat you differently from white customers. But the bank can loan money to anyone at any rate they want to!”

It’s not just your average hometown bank that has tried and failed to steal all of the money that government would allow them to steal, the World Bank operates on the same type principals.

Guess how much money Bush and the boys have borrowed to fight the Iraq war and buy $400 hammers? Bush, Cheney and the boys will walk away from their bank debts and hand them to the next administration but the people will never be allowed to walk away from their bills.

We all have our favorites to take over the Presidency next year but the only candidate that has a plan to deal with the current economic crisis is Republican Ron Paul. Before you think I’m crazy, investigate what you just read.
