WASHINGTON, DC – Who will be crowned as the Top 50 Minorities in Cable? AmericanLife TV, the cable network devoted to the Baby Boomer generation, announced that two of their senior level executives will be bestowed this honor. Senior Vice-President of Marketing Darlene Chapman-Holmes and Senior Vice-President of Affiliates Sales Carla Lewis-Long will be proudly honored by CableFAX magazine in the much anticipated September Diversity Issue as one of the Top 50 & Most Influential Minorities in Cable. The publication date is set for release on September 15, 2008, during Diversity Week in New York City and will be featured on Cable360.net for an entire year.
The annual issue profiles the Top 50 & Most Influential Minorities in Cable. According to CableFAX, influence comes in many forms that are important when choosing the rank, including: the power to hire and fire, the industry-wide reach of an individual, service to the community and mentoring young staffers.
“Just four months ago I congratulated Darlene for her excellence when receiving another honorable award. Now I am congratulating her again along with colleague Carla Lewis-Long on this great accomplishment. I am proud to have these two astounding individuals on my team who have made a significant impact on the industry and on our network,” says AmericanLife TV Network, President and COO, Larry Meli.
Carla Lewis-Long is currently the Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales at AmericanLife TV Network. Right before Lewis-Long joined AmericanLife TV, she was the VP of National Accounts for the Oxygen Network.
Darlene Chapman-Holmes currently serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing for AmericanLife TV Network in Washington, DC. In her position, Chapman-Holmes manages both consumer and affiliate marketing, and works closely with Affiliate Sales on negotiations and promotion of the network.
