"Hawks Guard, Joe Johnson, Mayor Shirley Franklin, and Real Housewives of Atlanta's Ed Hartwell to Join Real Men Cook June 21"

Real Men Cook® (RMC) For Charity Atlanta, the largest and longest running Father’s Day Celebration, will be held on Sunday, June 21 at the Georgia Railroad Depot next to Underground Atlanta from 3-6 p.m. Food, fun and family will be the order of the day as more than 100 men serve up culinary delights for nearly 3,000 guests. Entertainment includes R&B artist, Canton Jones, Case, Wanda Trent Phillips and Antonio Allen of Five Men on A Stool.

“We are excited to once again showcase the skills of the men of Atlanta while assisting local charities with marketing and fundraising. We are proud to have Communities In Schools, and Boy Scouts of America Atlanta Area Council as charity partners for 2009,” says Diane Larche´, RMC Atlanta event manager. “In addition to the food, entertainment, and activities, we have loads of giveaways for our guests."

“The Father’s Day event is a great opportunity for Atlanta residents to honor strong men and it allows men from all walks of life to show off their culinary skills. Some of the cooks are a bit competitive, but it’s all in fun,” said Kevin Ashford, founder of Catered Cakes and RMC Atlanta Spokesman.

“We are also pleased to have so many leaders in our community agree to serve as honorary chairmen for the event,” adds Larche,. president of Larche' Communications. “We have Joe Johnson, captain of the Atlanta Hawks, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport General Manager Ben DeCosta, Ambassador Andrew Young, Georgia Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond and Fulton County Commission Vice Chair Bill Edwards, Rev Dr. Michael Stinson of Ben Hill United Methodist Church to name a few."
