The Gantt Report - Black people around the world should learn a lesson from the ongoing protests against football player Michael Vick.
Predominately white protesters are enraged that Vick was signed by the National Football League Philadelphia Eagles to resume his career as a professional athlete.
Iím not mad at the protesters and Iím not mad at Vick. I enjoy seeing Michael Vick play football. I think he is exciting but Iím no friend of Vick.
I just think we can learn from what is happening.
The best lesson is to never forget!
To me, protests against Vick are somewhat of a devilish plot! Most Vick protesters are white but most dog fighters are also white. Americaís most famous and most experienced animal fighters oftentimes come from the most prestigious backgrounds. In addition to athletes, attendees of animal fights have included people from all professions including business persons and public servants but all animosity seems to be pointed at Vick.
Jesus forgave the people that spit on him, whipped Him and nailed him to the cross. If protesters donít want to forgive Vick, why should we forgive people that have benefitted from slavery, apartheid, colonialism, racism and genocide?
If you canít forgive people that made a mistake and hurt dogs, why should we forgive people that beat and maim Black people hurt while in police custody? Why should we forgive people that bomb Black churches, drag Black people through the streets, hang nooses on school grounds, discriminate against Black workers or perpetrate unfair and predatory lending?
We should forgive because forgiveness is the Godly thing to do. Forgiveness is the Christian thing to do. Forgiveness is the right thing to do and only God can judge all of us.
We should learn to never forget. Jews will never forget the Holocaust and we should never forget how two legged dogs have ordered four legged dogs to attack Black people in America, in South America in Africa and in every other country in the world.
Iím not mad at people that remember dog fighting and they shouldnít be mad at me for remembering the devilish, beastly and satanic acts committed against innocent Black men, women, children and babies.
I loved all of the canines Iíve ever had and Iím smart enough to let things go and move on but I will never forget how dogs have been used by devils to hurt Black people. (Buy Gantt's book "Beast Too: Dead Man Writing" and contact Lucius at www.allworldconsultants.net)
