"Young Talented Performers Success Fest & Awards"

(Philadelphia-PA) June 7, 2005 - The 2nd Annual Youth Talent Success Fest & Awards will be hosted by J& R Grassroots Teen Artist Development Organization, a small community based organization focused on providing the education and motivation necessary for youth interested in pursuing music-based careers to obtain the necessary tools for success. The J&R Grassroots Teen Artist Development invites the community to come together and show these young people we do care about them and their abilities to excel. The 2nd Annual Talent Success Fest and Awards will take place at the Rhythm Entertainment Complex located at 4700 Wissahicken Avenue.

This one-of-a-kind event will have special invited musical artist such as: Roscoe P. ColdChain, Philadelphia Recording Artist signed to Neptunes/Interscope Records ; Freeway, Philadelphia Recording artist signed to Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records Youth Steff, Philadelphia Recording artist signed to Roc-A-Fella; Zuhairah Mc Gill Founder/Producing Artistic Director of First World Theater Ensemble. It also includes Humanitarian Awards to individuals who have done wonderful work in the area of youth empowerment and success within the community and in the entertainment industry.

As the organization's founder, Rashida Jabbar, urges "We must all come together to make a change in our communities and schools. Our youth have lost faith in us as adults. Let us restore that faith." Through the combined efforts of the J&R Grassroots Teen Artist Development, music industry and community based leaders, and dedicated sponsors, on June 25th, our music industry bound youth are destined to hear the guiding beat of the community's adults.

While the organization meets with its youth participants on topics ranging from personal growth to drug and AIDS awareness, J&R Grassroots Teen Artist Development throws the Talent Success Fest and Awards, in an effort to raise community participation and reward leaders and mentors in the music industry. The event which is proposed to draw a global audience ranging from big music industry executives and musical recording artists to local parents and their ambitious industry-headed children, hopes to repeat the success of last year's event.
