Don’t be surprised about how Pat Robertson, a well know Christian preacher, was alleged to have called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez, the political leader of Venezuela.

You have to believe in God. You cannot put your trust in a preacher that encourages his flock to violate one of the Ten Commandments.

I think Chavez is doing some good things. He is a staunch supporter of his neighboring nations. He makes oil from his country available to his friends and countrymen.

When you’re loved by little children, you can’t be all bad.

If you want to know if Pat Robertson or your minister is a man of God, ask God to send you a sign in that regard. No, you can’t "talk" to God but you can communicate with The Almighty.

God will send you a sign. Just be aware enough to see it and smart enough to acknowledge it.

If you hear a so-called follower of God’s Word suggest that someone should be killed, I would get away from him or her as fast as I could.

Venezuela is close to the Caribbean and very close to Aruba. President Bush and the White House must realize there is great interest in alternative politics in that part of the world. The islanders feel like they are treated as second-class people just as we felt that way in the past and up to this day.

You get the support of nations by supporting the people of those nations. Stop supporting the puppets and the Banana Republic dictators and start supporting the people.

Believe it or not, many foreigners already hate United States citizens and comments like those by Pat Robertson can only make matters worse.

You can’t get mad at a leader of a nation just because his friends are not your friends. The hate that Hugo Chavez is getting because he met with Fidel Castro is reminiscent of how Nelson Mandela was treated after he met with Castro to thank him for Cuba’s support in the Africa Liberation struggles.

The majority of Americans, both Black and white, have no problem with Hugo Chavez. In addition, most people in America know that Venezuela has something that Robertson and his cronies want, oil and plenty of it.

If you have to believe in somebody, don’t believe in preachers with forked tongues! (Get Lucius to tell the truth sat your next event. Contact thegantreport@comcast.net)
