The Gantt Report - I got arrested a couple of days ago so I called a few of my friends to let them know. When I reported what happened to me, many of my friends acted as if my detention was a joke.
Their response regarding my circumstance was not a surprise to me. Jesus Christ got a similar reaction when he told The Disciples, perhaps the best group of friends that you could ever have, that the authorities had falsely charged him and were looking to nail him to the cross.
As I’ve said previously, my friends ignored me but Jesus’ Disciples went to sleep.
Anyway, I’m not in jail. First of all, I don’t break the law. So, when a racist, devilish bad cop arrests me, the powers that be in Tallahassee, Florida always find a way to “un-arrest” me.
I don’t have a problem with anyone, myself included, doing the time if they commit the crime.
However, when you arrest me on false charges, I’m the wrong person to be messing with.
Why? Because I can represent myself in court and I am an expert in handling police misconduct cases.
Now, there’s no need to flood my e-mail address with pleas to represent you or your loved ones. You should call a lawyer. I am not a lawyer and I only represent myself, which is my Constitutional right.
However, I did do intensive legal research on pro se litigation and on police misconduct cases tried in federal courts.
I should also tell you that no Black man that represents himself in court is going to win a judgment for a ton of money. That scenario won’t even happen in Hollywood! I represented myself and I’m not rich.
What I do is show the taxpayers that liars in law enforcement and local governments can conspire to spend millions of dollars to cover up police brutality, misconduct and wrongful behavior!
When I get arrested on false charges. The first thing that I do is contact the head of the law agency and suggest that we meet together to resolve the situation.
I say, “We can resolve this like gentlemen who love the city or we can handle it like adversaries.” If they desire to meet with me, we can talk and resolve problems we have. If they refuse to meet me at the police station, I make them meet me at the courthouse!
Don’t read this column and try to do what I have done. Obey the law and support community law officers with good intentions.
Leave the courtroom drama to me. I am not afraid of badges and guns because I have a badge and a gun (I am an Honorary Deputy Sheriff and I have a permit to carry a firearm).
I usually do good when I am arrested on false charges because I usually can prove to judges and the news media that in police misconduct cases, just as in Watergate, the Pat Tillman murder, savings and loan scandals and so on, the cover up is worst than the crime!
Stay out of trouble. If you do get arrested, don’t be surprised if your so- called friends say your incarceration is a joke! (Gantt’s new book “Beast Too: Dead Man Writing” is coming soon. Contact Lucius at www.allworldconsultants.net)
