The Gantt Report - About 500 years ago millions of Black people complained that they were kidnapped and stolen from the shores of Africa and brought to America to serve as slaves for white slave masters.

In 2007, no one has been arrested or has spent any time in jail for those crimes. Cries from Black community leaders calling for reparations have fallen on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, one white man said O.J. Simpson stole his own memorabilia and the Juice was immediately arrested.

Hmmm. I wonder if people of all races can be jailed for taking things that belong to them.

Anyway, I don’t know if Simpson is a thief or not but I do know some things.

Don’t worry about Las Vegas, I know that no Black man in no city in America can call police and allege that a white man stole something and have police immediately arrest the accused thief.

I had a Colt 45 caliber automatic pistol stolen and I reported the theft to police. Authorities wouldn’t even file a police report until I described the weapon, produced receipts for the gun and furnished the cops with the gun’s identifying serial numbers.

O.J. claims the items in his case were stolen from his former home in California. Two different accusations of theft, guess whom police believed. Reports indicated a group was involved in the Vegas theft. Why is Juice the only person in jail? Sorry, I know the answer to that question.

Don’t get it twisted, I could care less if O.J. Simpson is a criminal. It wouldn’t surprise me because I come from a state, Georgia, that was, in essence, founded by criminals released from European jails.

O.J. Simpson made the same choice that many of my friends and neighbors make. Many Blacks tend to believe whatever anyone not Black says about Black people.

Also, I think it is a disgrace for the Black press; especially the Black morning radio show personalities to take the accusations of questionable people and use those accusations to make jokes and disparage their own kind.

No one will stand up for us but us. It is easy for us to laugh and talk about each other when other folks claim we did wrong but its difficult to risk your career, risk your advertising and risk the love of your master by telling the truth.

O.J. may or may not be guilty. However he is stupid! White folks have forgotten slavery and Jim Crowism and they have dismissed the recent injustice claims made by the “Jena Six” but they will never forget O.J. Simpson, Barry Bonds or Michael Vick.

Juice should have left America years ago to live in Africa, the Caribbean or somewhere else where he could have lived like a hero.
